Day 1: Depart Port Elizabeth at 08h00 and travel along the Garden Route. Travel through Tsitsikamma National Park and Knysna, along the N2 to the town of Swellendam. Branch off from here on to the R62 and wend our way to the lovely little town of Montagu where we sleep over.

Day 2: Continue towards the West Coast via Worcester, stopping at Karoo Desert Botanical Gardens. Traverse the Hex River Mountains and through the vineyards of Wellington. Travel through Malmesbury and Darling to the beautiful Langebaan where we stay over for the night.

Day 3: After breakfast we visit the West Coast National Park to Posberg where we spend the morning exploring and enjoying the beautiful spring flowers. After lunch we visit the villages from Paternoster to Laaiplek.

Day 4: Travel along the coast to Lamberts Bay. Enjoy a walk to Bird Island to visit the Gannet Sanctuary.

Day 5: Continue our journey to the top of Pakhuis Pass in the Cedarberg to visit the grave of Louis Leipoldt. Visit the Ramskop Flower Reserve and Rooibos Co-op, all day feasting our eyes on the beautiful scenery and abundance of flowers.
Overnight Aan d’Oewer Citrusdal
Day 6: Travel from Citrusdal to Ceres turning off at Piketberg to Porterville, Gouda and Tulbagh. Continue to Hottentotskloof and on to Matjiesfontein. After a stop at this historical little village, we continue to Prince Albert and visit an Olive Farm, Gay’s – an award winning Dairy – before retiring for the night.

Day 7: Continue our journey through Klaarstroom, the beautiful, majestic Meiringspoort Pass to De Rust, then Uniondale and from there through the Langkloof back to Port Elizabeth, arriving in the late afternoon.
